Wow what a great story that draws you in at the beginning and holds your interest until the end. I read it in one sitting as I couldn't put it down. The two main characters are amazing. Major is a former Navy seal covered with tattoos and a hidden past. Sloane is finally out on her own with her first job and apartment. Fate has it that they are next door neighbors who do not have the best start. Sloane is furious that Major's escapades with various dates keep her up most of the night and she even calls the police on him for suspicion of keying her car.Their relationship blossoms and goes through twists and turns as they learn more about each other. A great read by a wonderful author. Don't want to be a spoiler, but you will not regret reading this story.

If you are looking for a book where guy meets girl and then can't get over her. Then this book is for you. She is the girl next door causing some problems for him. But then things happens where she needs him. Then does not let him go. So then it turns out she has issues and he has secrets. Oh what will happen? Guess you will have to read the book to find out. So get the book and enjoy.
When Sloane moves in next door to Major she assumes he is a white collar slacker who is out to have a good time and doesn't care about his future. When Major comes to Sloane's rescue she starts to see a new side of him and realizes she likes what she sees. As the two spend time together and their relationship grows they manage to heal one another in ways no one else has been able to. Absolute must read highly recommended!
Absolutely love this book! The story line is great had me the first page love the heroine she's fiesty has a backbone and knows what she wants. I love the way she's been portrait with respect, this is one book I didn't find hating n regretting wasting money on at the end like so many I've purchased becase the heroine is always doing the chasing and falling all over him while he jumps from women to women it's alwyas the same story in so many books. Women are just not been portrait with enough respect or any at all so thank you for this fantastic storyline and the fun characters my only problem is that it was too short.
It was okay. I would probably give 2.5 stars if I could. I love a little violence and drama in the story. But it just wasn't enough for me. I don't know, I think the story was missing something for me. The characters weren't fully developed in my mind. It just needed a little bit more in my opinion. Give it a try if you are really into cheesy stories with a little drama. I wouldn't really classify this as a SEAL romance since I have read a few and this isn't the best one out there. He was a seal at one point but that's all there is relating to that.
This book was very good. That's as basic as I can put it. The H was broken as was the h. They fit together perfectly to make each other whole again. It started out as a interested/ annoyed thing, then an interested/ hate thing, then a hate/hate thing. Except it was never a hate thing. They fell in love in just over a month after a concession was made one night. After that it was a slippery slope right down to the HEA. Recommended.
This was a hot and sexy great read. Sloan and Major are unbelievably hot. Major is in somewhat finding himself and Sloan is a girl trying to make it on her own. The love isn't instant but it blossoms over time. My only downside is it just ended. Nothing led up to the ending. And it never mentioned they moved in together it was just there I re read the previous chapter to make sure I didn't miss it and I didn't. But all in all it is a great book with relatable characters. Great job
This is the first book I have read by Kira Ward & it will not be the last. This book presently surprised me. It was a well written book & I got lost in the world that Kira created & did not want the book to end! I loved the book & hope she writes books for Sloan & Major's friends! She is a very talented writer! Sloane Graham has a very bad opinion of Major Rutherford Waterston to start with. She calls the manager on him a few times & accuses him of something he did not do. They don't like each other to start with. In the end they find out that first impressions can be deceiving. Sloan finds out you can't judge a book by its cover! I loved the characters in this book. They have a depth to them that isn't first apparent when you start reading. If you want to read something that is an HEA with a little bit of grit to it & not your typical HEA hearts & roses read I would recommend this book!
